Developing Regional Park Management Plans

The Regional District is developing one park management plan.

Mission Creek Regional Park Management Plan

Mission Creek Regional Park is a 92-hectare forested park located adjacent to Mission Creek in the heart of Kelowna.

The park and the Mission Creek Greenway are a favorite recreational destination for many local residents, general public and visitors to the Central Okanagan.

The Regional District is currently developing a new management plan for Mission Creek Regional Park.

The park management plan will provide a long term vision for the future development, operations and stewardship of the park.

In late fall 2019, the concept for the new management plan will be presented for your information and feedback.  The public consultation will also include:

  • an Open House event
  • an online survey (closed October 4th)

In spring 2020 the final management plan that includes public feedback will be completed and presented to the regional board for consideration.

Watch for future upcoming public engagement events and opportunities to get involved and share your views on the planning process for Mission Creek Regional Park Management Plan.

You can find information on other park management plans on the Planning and Resources webpage or by contacting the Regional Parks Office.
