Features and Things to Do
Okanagan Centre Safe Harbour Regional Park provides safety for boaters during a storm with one of the only safe harbours in the area. The harbour contains a courtesy dock for emergency and pedestrian use, a small swimming beach, a viewing/fishing platform and a boat launch.
Okanagan Centre Safe Harbour is 1.71 acres on Okanagan Centre Road in Lake Country. It is open year round and has washroom facilities.
Dogs must be kept on a leash on trails and pathways within park boundaries unless otherwise designated and owners must clean up after their pets and safely dispose of waste.
Overnight camping and open fires are not permitted.
From May 1st through September 30th, the gate will be closed nightly at 10:00 pm and unlocked at 5:00 am each day. Information is posted in the parking area for anyone locked behind the gate after hours on how to get their vehicle released.
Boaters in need of refuge or any other emergency are able to access the Safe Harbour at any time.
From October 1st through April 30th the gate is not locked.
Okanagan Centre Road in Lake Country. From Highway 97 driving north, turn left on Glenmore at the Beaver Lake/ Glenmore / Highway 97 intersection. Follow Glenmore as it turns left then turn right on Okanagan Centre Road W. Follow to the bottom of the hill and along the waterfront until you see the harbour.
