Parks are open daily for the benefit and enjoyment of all park users; however, there are certain activities within the parks that can be booked for private uses by applying for a Park Use Permit for Special Use.

Regional Parks Regulation Bylaw
Community Parks - the regional district maintains and operates 20 smaller community parks in the Central Okanagan East and Central Okanagan West Electoral Areas. Groups of 25 or more people are required to have a permit for activities/events in Community Parks.

Gibson Heritage House
Located at Kopje Regional Park, this house, built by George Gibson, has been restored and refurnished by community donation.
Open for free tours each weekend during the summer months from 12 noon to 4:00 pm. Carrs Landing Road in Lake Country.
Joe Rich Community Hall (booking through Joe Rich Ratepayers and Tenants Society)
Joe Rich Community Hall is available for weddings, family reunions, meetings and other community functions. The main hall seats 120 people banquet style and has a fully equipped kitchen. There is also a meeting room upstairs which comfortably seats 20.
The halls rural setting also includes outdoor tennis courts and an ice-rink as well as a playground and park.
Ellison Community Hall (booking through Ellison Parks and Recreation Society)
This old schoolhouse has been here for over one hundred years!
The renovated hall is available for weddings, meetings and other community events. It has all the modern amenities but still has the charms of an old schoolhouse, including a rural setting, refinished wooden floors and walls. Old Vernon Road in Ellison.
Environmental Education Centre for the Okanagan (rental booking through Regional Parks)
The Environmental Education Centre for the Okanagan or EECO at Mission Creek Regional Park (Springfield & Durnin Roads) provides activities for kids, environmental displays, park and trail information, and more.
The EECO is open Tuesday to Sunday. Hours of operation are April to October, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm weekdays, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm weekends, and November to March, 10:00 am – 3:00 pm.
Killiney Beach Community Hall (booking through North Westside Communities Association)
The Killiney Beach Community Hall is available for weddings, family reunions, meetings and other community functions. The main hall seats 100 people banquet style and has a fully equipped kitchen.
There is also a meeting room in the adjacent Annex/Library building which comfortably seats 15-20.
Outside the buildings there is a grassed area with bench seating and BBQ facilities (available May to October – weather permitting).
