Help to protect yourself from identity theft and support Central Okanagan Crime Stoppers at its Community Shred Day event!
This activity is following COVID-friendly protocols for the safety of our volunteers, staff and you!
Bring your financial and personal documents that you would like to have shredded. Shredding is by donation with a minimum of $5 per box of documents. Tax receipts are available for donations in excess of $20.
All documents will be shredded on site by Okanagan Paper Shredding Inc.
All proceeds from this event go to support the rewards program for Central Okanagan Crime Stoppers!
All services and programs provided from offices in the Regional District of Central Okanagan on KLO Road in Kelowna will be closed for the Victoria Day holiday on Monday, May 24.
During this time any emergencies involving Regional District water systems should be directed to 250-868-5299.
We look forward to serving you via phone or email again at 8 a.m. Tuesday, May 25.
Regular curbside garbage collection will continue normally on the Monday holiday and the Westside Residential Waste Disposal and Recycling Centre on Asquith Road in West Kelowna will also be open its normal hours. The North Westside Transfer Station will be open its regular hours Monday. The Trader's Cove Transfer Station will be open for its summer hours schedule on Sunday.
The Environmental Education Centre for the Okanagan (EECO) in Mission Creek Regional Park is closed on Monday Staff will be back at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 25 to help you.

PUBLIC NOT ALLOWED TO ATTEND MEETINGS
DUE TO A PROVINCIAL HEALTH OFFICER ORDER REGARDING GATHERINGS AND EVENTS, the Regional Board must conduct Open Meetings without the public present.
The Board is ensuring openness, transparency, accessibility and accountability by broadcasting meetings online, making audio and/or video recordings available online following the meetings, receiving written or verbal correspondence on agenda items, regularly communicating to the public changes in how meetings are held, and posting draft agendas and minutes online;
This is in effect until the Order of the Provincial Health Officer is rescinded or replaced to allow for in-person attendance at Board Meetings.
