This is a great opportunity to put into practice what students
are learning in the classroom. School programs are available for
Kindergarten through Grade 12 and adult education classes are also
welcome. Programs can be adapted to fit your education needs, in
the classroom, in the park, or at the EECO, the Environmental
Education Centre for the Okanagan.
Programs are hands on and discovery based. Each program is
linked to the curriculum. Consult the School Program Guide, to find out how the program
fits the learning objectives outlined by the BC Ministry of
Education.
Come for an hour or combine programs and make a day of it!
Each Regional Park program is:
- Experiential with hands on activities and explorations of our
natural environment and local heritage
- One hour in length, unless otherwise requested
- Restricted to one class (25 to 30 students, maximum 10
parent/family members accompanied)
- Available seven days a week
- A suggested donation of $1 per student
- Flexible and accessible, please let us know how we can best
meet your needs
- Special Projects in the parks are available for classes (in the
past we have planted trees and shrubs or rehabilitated damaged
ecosystems in the park)
