The Central Okanagan is a gorgeous place to live and our numerous Communities in
Bloom awards are proof of that.
We play a big part in creating this lovely picture by having front and back yards
with beautiful gardens and trees.
But what do you do with the stuff that dies off or overgrows? How can you get rid
of your yard waste in an environmentally friendly way?
Fortunately we have easy
options to dispose of
our yard waste; from the
bi-weekly curbside
automated cart pickup
between March and
November (Information
is available in the
Living Greener
Calendar), backyard
composting or the
free
drop off (up to a
maximum 250 Kilograms)
at local
landfills...anytime of
the year.
