What We Do

Everything you ever wanted to know about garbage and recycling is available from the Regional Waste Reduction Office. As a program of the City of Kelowna, Regional District and District's of Peachland, Lake Country and West Kelowna, the Waste Reduction Office implements programs to help reduce garbage going to the Glenmore Landfill. Reducing waste conserves natural resources, energy and space in the region's only active landfill, protects the environment and saves future tax dollars.

Staff are available to provide information and assistance during regular office hours, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm Monday to Friday. Fun and informative presentations for groups or schools are available on a wide range of topics.
