Environmental Advisory Committee
Purpose
In the belief that local residents can and should contribute to the stewardship
of our natural environment, the Regional District Board appointed a group of citizens
called the Central Okanagan Environmental Advisory Committee (EAC).

Mandate
The Central Okanagan Environmental Advisory Committees mission is to advise and
assist the Board and the citizens of the Regional District of Central Okanagan in
the protection, enhancement, restoration, management and appreciation of our common
natural heritage and to ensure that our communities are planned to provide for environmental
sustainability and community health for present generations and future generations.
Meeting Schedule
- The EAC meets once per month. Information on meeting dates, agenda and the
latest approved minutes are available on the Planning Services
Public Consultation page.
Membership Information
- Central Okanagan EAC shall consist of 10 to 18 voting members appointed by the Board.
- Members will be selected on the basis of their demonstrated interest and participation
in environmental and community matters, academic or technical qualification, availability,
work experience, knowledge and professional expertise.
- Members shall be appointed for three-year terms with a maximum continuous tenure
of two full three-year terms.
