Adult Programs
Learn a little about the natural world around you, meet others with the same interests
and explore the Regional Parks in the Central Okanagan. Besides the Community programs
available, the following are designed for the adults. Programs are offered by donation.
A donation of $2 is suggested.

Amphitheatre Programs
Watch for the schedule coming out in the Calendar of Events
starting in May.
Snakes, flowers and bears, Oh my!
Local naturalists will let you in on Okanagan secrets about the stars, plants and
animals in our community. Take in one or all of the presentations at the amphitheatre
in Mission Creek or
Bertram Creek Regional Parks. Dress for the weather and bring a blanket to sit
on.
Go Natural Natural Care Garden Party
Host a Natural Care Garden Party at your home or the Compost Education Garden in
Mission Creek Regional Park. You and your guests will learn about water-wise gardening,
grasscycling, and composting. There are also great gifts provided for the hosts!
A minimum of 15 people are required for a Garden Party. Call (250) 469-6250 for
more information or to book your Go Natural Home Party.
Take off on a Hike...

starting in June.
Enjoy a guided walk each
Friday
morning in June and July.
Visit a different Regional Park each week with a park interpreter who will highlight
special features. Please make sure you are prepared with appropriate clothing, sturdy
shoes, and a water bottle.
Compost Education and Xeriscape Gardens
These self-touring gardens display how to compost and have drought tolerant plants
in your own backyard. Located in
Mission Creek Regional Park.
