Adult Programs

Learn a little about the natural world around you, meet others with the same interests and explore the Regional Parks in the Central Okanagan. Besides the Community programs available, the following are designed for the adults. Programs are offered by donation. A donation of $2 is suggested.

Amphitheatre Programs

Watch for the schedule coming out in the Calendar of Events starting in May.
Snakes, flowers and bears, Oh my!
Local naturalists will let you in on Okanagan secrets about the stars, plants and animals in our community. Take in one or all of the presentations at the amphitheatre in Mission Creek Regional Park. Dress for the weather and bring a blanket to sit on.

Go Natural Natural Care Garden Party

Host a Natural Care Garden Party at your home or the Compost Education Garden in Mission Creek Regional Park. You and your guests will learn about water-wise gardening, grasscycling, and composting. There are also great gifts provided for the hosts! A minimum of 15 people are required for a Garden Party. Call (250) 469-6250 for more information or to book your Go Natural Home Party.

Take a hike...

Watch for the schedule coming out in the Calendar of Events starting in June.
Enjoy a guided hike each Wednesday and Friday starting in June through to August. Visit a different Regional Park each week with a park interpreter who will highlight special features. Please make sure you are prepared with appropriate clothing, sturdy shoes, and a water bottle.

Compost Education and Xeriscape Gardens
