Cedar Mountain Regional Park is 79.5 hectares and overlooks Okanagan Lake. The park was severely burned during by the Okanagan Mountain Provincial Park fire in the summer of 2003. Please stay on the paths to prevent trampling sensitive, re-growing vegetation and to avoid other natural hazards left by the fire. Charred timber has been removed along the trail areas only.
Cedar Mountain provides a unique opportunity to see how vegetation grows back after a forest fire. The trail system provides easy to moderate walking and spectacular views of Okanagan Lake. Ensure you have appropriate clothing, footwear and equipment for hiking the trails. Link to Trail System map
Regional Parks Interpretative programs are available by donation for school and community groups that would like to learn about our local environment and cultural history.
Dogs must be kept on a leash within park boundaries and owners must clean up after their pets. Motorized vehicles are not permitted on the hiking trails. Overnight camping, open fires and smoking are not permitted.
Please help protect park vegetation and wildlife by using only designated trails. Leave only footprints and take only pictures!
Lakeshore Road to Chute Lake Road - approximately 2.9 kilometres from the start of the gravel road to the Cedar Mountain Regional Park sign and parking area.
