Unsightly Premises and Visual Nuisance Bylaw
The unsightly premises bylaws prohibit an owner or occupier of property to permit
their property to become unsightly by allowing the accumulation of filth, discarded
materials, rubbish or graffiti. Throwing of bottles, glass or other rubbish and
placing graffiti on or adjacent to public places are also prohibited.
Persons who violate the provisions of the bylaw are subject to fines, and, persons
who do not carry out the work required where an order has been given are subject
to recovery of costs.
Regional District of Central Okanagan Bylaw No. 770 applies to all Electoral Areas
of the Regional District of Central Okanagan and the District of Westside.

voice mail when
prompted.

- civic address or best detailed description of problem location
- any owner or occupier information (if known)
- your specific concern
- your name, address and phone number, so the inspector can contact you for further
information (not mandatory, but helpful and is not given out)
Please note that the bylaw is not enforced pro-actively. Your concerns or complaints
must be reported to initiate enforcement.
