Unsightly Premises and Visual Nuisance Bylaw

The unsightly premises bylaws prohibit an owner or occupier of property to permit their property to become unsightly by allowing the accumulation of filth, discarded materials, rubbish or graffiti. Throwing of bottles, glass or other rubbish and placing graffiti on or adjacent to public places are also prohibited.

Persons who violate the provisions of the bylaw are subject to fines, and, persons who do not carry out the work required where an order has been given are subject to recovery of costs.

Regional District of Central Okanagan Bylaw No. 770 applies to all Electoral Areas of the Regional District of Central Okanagan and the District of Westside.
