Animal Control Bylaw
-
The Regional District Animal Control Bylaw No. 880 is enforced in
the Electoral Areas
(Central Okanagan East
and Central Okanagan
West) of the Regional District
of Central Okanagan by complaint only.
The City of Kelowna,
District of West
Kelowna, District of
Lake Country and
District of Peachland
enforce their own
regulations.
The Bylaw sets out the regulations for keeping of pets, farmed fur bearing animals,
farmed game, game birds, birds, poultry, livestock, aviaries for tropical birds,
and dog kennels. (Dogs are regulated
separately under the Dog Control Bylaw,
see note below)
Persons who violate provisions of this bylaw are subject to fines or may, on summary
conviction, be liable to penalties under the Offense Act.
You may view a copy of
Bylaw No. 880. Please note that the Bylaw is provided for convenience only
and the document is not to be considered the official or legal copy. Please contact
the Regional District for a certified copy.
