File Download Notes:
- In order to perform basic functions with these data files, you may wish to download
a free
ArcExplorer GIS Data Viewer program from the ESRI GIS and Mapping Software
website.
- In Microsoft Windows XP, when saving a file that ends with .z01, in order to
properly open and use this file, make sure you remove the .zip extension name automatically
added by Windows XP. Out-of-date compression software (zip-tools) might fail
to uncompress the data package.

Data Formats:

Each map file is in an Adobe pdf file format for printing convenience. Each spatial
data file is in an ESRI shapefile format and compressed using WinZip to reduce their
size.

Map Projection: UTM Zone 11N; Reference System: NAD83

Metadata:
|
Metadata is critical for sharing tools, data, and maps and for searching to see
if the resources you need already exist. Metadata indicates the spatial data's currency,
completeness, spatial accuracy, attribute fields, etc.
