Street lighting is provided to the Scotty Heights area of Central Okanagan East Electoral Area.  View Bylaw No. 980

In all new residential subdivisions in the electoral areas of the Regional District, developers are required to install streetlights in accordance with the Subdivision Bylaw. In an existing subdivision, the owners of property within the subdivision may petition the Regional District to provide streetlights in their area. To be approved, the petition must receive support of at least 50% of the owners and the total value of the assenting owner's land must represent more than 50% of the total land value in the subdivision. If approved, the owners will pay for the cost of installing, operating, and maintaining the streetlights on their yearly taxes.

With the incorporation of the District of West Kelowna, these services which were previously provided by the Regional District in six different areas of the former Westside Electoral Area and Lakeview Irrigation District are now provided by the municipality.
