Referendum Information

From time to time the Regional Board may determine a Referendum should be held.  If so, information on that will be posted on this webpage.

This information should assist in determining Who Can Vote, When To Vote, Where to Vote and How to Vote.  As details become available pertaining to a specific referendum vote, you can link to it through various web pages via the Quick Links menu options along the right side of each page.

A number of referenda have been previously held in the Regional District.  The most recent was a vote conducted on behalf of the Ministry of Community Services in June 2007 to determine Westside Governance.  Two referenda were held for some voters in the North Westside and Joe Rich areas during the 2005 Local Government Elections, and a Referendum was held in 2003 regarding the expansion of the Mount Boucherie Multiplex.  To view the results from these referenda and other voting, please follow the link to the Past Results webpage

For information relating to any referendum vote please contact the Chief Election Officer at 250-763-4918.
