Much of the work behind decisions of the Regional Board is done at the Committee level.  This format allows broader input from the public and other stakeholders in developing or commenting on policies and procedures.  Link to 2011 List of Committee Appointments

With the incorporation of the District of West Kelowna in December 2007, the work of five main Board committees (Air Quality, Engineering, Parks, Planning and Environment and Transportation) was disbanded and is now undertaken by the Governance and Services Committee.  Link to Meeting Schedule for Regional Board and its Governance and Services Committee (NOTE:  Meeting dates are subject to change or cancellation).  The Governance and Services Committee usually meets once a month.  Meeting Dates, Agenda and Minutes can be found on the Governance and Services Committee webpage.
